Hi Jim,

You don't really need to do a 'full' scan every week, MSE scans files as you
download or open them, so a 'quick' scan would be adequate for a weekly
event. If you still feel the need to do a 'full' scan, then perhaps set up 2
scan events, 1 to do a 'quick' scan each week and 1 to do a 'full' scan,
say, each month.

John.

Subject: [access-uk] MSE Scanning

Hi Folks,

Using XP Home, JAWS 13

I have a scheduled scan set for once a week on a Wednesday
morning. I've noticed that the time taken to complete the
full scan has crept up and last week's scan took a little
under 5 hours.

Are there any files, programmes or processes I can safely
put on the Ignore list? I also have Malware anti virus on
this computer and when that scans it doesn't take any near
as long to complete scan.

Any observations welcome.

Jim Williams
