Hi Richard.

On my install, i first activated settings on the tabs across the top of the screen by clicking on it with the left mouse button keystroke. if using desktop layout that should be the key directly next to number lock on your numeric pad. then I was able to go to the updates tab by arrowing down to it and left clicking on it. then you should be able to tab through the options and uncheck the ones you don't want. let me know how it goes.

cheers,

Mo.

Hi Mo, How do you activate the update tab please?  I can see it with the
Jaws curser, but can't seem to get into it.
Thanks,

Richard

Programmes

Hi Tony.

Few decent alternatives to be honest, Malware bytes is quite popular.
the thing to do with malware bytes is install version 1.75 disabling the
trial mode, then disable the program updates. you should be good to go from
there. that's what I've done with mine and its doesn't prompt me at all.

cheers,

Mo.

Hi Mo,

I'll bear all of that in mind but it's really that Malware Bytes keeps
prompting me to buy or install their newest versions even when I was
trying to write this post.

Now I wonder if there are alternative antispyware progs that we can get?

Best,

Tony Sweeney.

Hi Tony.

The update options can be disabled in the update settings in malware
bytes on the settings tab I believe. you have to use the jaws curser
to go to the update settings tab with in settings. I would disable
program updates but not database updates. If you'd like a hand,
please let me know on or off list.

cheers,

Mo.

Hi folk,

I'm really tired and indeed p***edof of Malware Bytes free and it
keeping  reminding me to update and all of that so any thoughts of
how to stop those frequent reminders or can anyone recommend any
other free antispy ware programme?

Any suggestions at all appreciated.

Cheers,
