I've only ever used Media Player Classic together with Real Alternative on the rare occasions when I was re-streaaming archived radio shows which were in Real format, as I didn't want to use RealPlayer. Now that the station in question (www.pbsfm.org.au) is in the process of changing their format for the re-streams, I haven't used MPC even for that. I'm sorry I can't be of much help, as I normally use Winamp whenever possible.

Shall I take it from the lack of replies to this that no one else is having any issues with the latest build of MPC 6.5.0? Please see below for the original post. ----- Original Message -----
 Hi everyone,

After updating MPC to the latest version 6.5.0 I am having issues with MP3 files in particular. This latest build of MPC plays MP3 files alright, but, if I try to fast forward or rewind through an MP3 file, the track jumps back to the beginning. The issue happens with MP3 files only. Other audio and video file formats are playing fine. e.g. a couple of the MP3 files I am having issues with played alright when I converted them to OGG formats so it is not a matter of corrupted files.

I tried fast forwarding and rewinding through MP3 files with Jaws loaded and unloaded but with the same results so the issue does not appear to be a screen reader conflict either.

I downgraded to build 5.9.0 and all is back to normal now but I am wandering if anyone else is having similar issues? And better if someone can offer any ideas on how to fix this problem? I quite like to keep K-Lite up to date. Could they really have broken the MP3 codecs in the latest builds of the K-Lite pack? Seems very odd to me.

 TIA,
Amro
