Hi CarolineIt works better with patterns or stripes than Colorino does, and all you do is put the little Fame adaptor on top of the Milestone, where it plugs into the USB socket. Then you press the play button, and it tells you the colourand variation. It would be excellent if Woodscan becomes a reality. This is the barcode reader mentioned on the Bones website. I suspect it istaking so long to emerge here though because of the UK product database notbeing available. How do you think the Fame colour detector compares with the Colorino, Jackie? Does the Fame give any more detail? Thanks, Caroline. -----Original Message-----From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf OfJackie Cairns Sent: 19 June 2011 12:32 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Milestone mailing list address & battery query please! Hi Martin I am really impressed with the 312 Pro, and how far it has come since the days of the 311. I find the voice is very good, and the speaker is exceptionally clear for something so small. Even the quality of playing music is much nicer than on other players. Fame is a very good colour identifier add-on too, and it would be great to see the barcode reader up and running on it. Martin hops between it and the BookSense for audio books, but he likes the Milestone for portability and sound.
