Yes Mark I agree about a card over USB, that was my thought exactly. But the
chap in T-Mobile said USB would be better because there are so many laptops out
there with different slots that they can't keep up with which ones to cater
for. He also said the cards are quicker, which you would expect. The guy told
me too that the cards don't support Vista, but whether that's an assumption on
his part, or is really the case, I don't know. People scare-monger when there
is a new OS about.
I'm not with T-Mobile, so I'll need to get hold of a national Customer Services
number to ring from the landline, doubtless at about 8p per minute or something
stupid. But I'll let you know what I find out.

Let us know how you get on Jackie. I am going to ring and ask about it at
some point, as I'm with T mobile anyway. I want to know a little more about
the modem and sim card arrangement . i do prefer the pcmcia card that I use on
the vodafone network as you can fit it and leave it there. Using a usb modem
is just something else to have to pack and take with you everywhere. But if
the price is right, and all that.
