Hi Vanja I have just used regular Facebook this morning, using JAWS 8. I don't know about replying to events because I haven't had to do this for a few days but I do know that I had no trouble using the buttons to accept both a friend request and an application invite. I first noticed this weekend. Facebook has redesigned the requests part of the website. I haven't checked what happens when you have friend requests or ap invites, but I know that, at least with jaws, it is pretty impossible to RSVP to an event. When you click a button, nothing changes. I tried using space, left clicking, even using the jaws cursor but nothing works. So for example if you click "yes" to an event, jaws does not detect any changes. I have refreshed the screen, but it makes no difference. I also noticed that they took away headings from requests part of the page. Although somewhat annoying, it's not as important as not being able to interact. I'm using jaws 11 with IE8. I tried Firefox, but it was worse. I also have system access and demo of windoweyes on this system. I have not tried to use it yet with those screenreaders, but jaws is my primary screenreader. Has anyone else noticed these difficulties? Any way of fixing it? I know a lot of people within blind community use facebook mobile and although it is a solution, I don't think it should be. Personally until this weekend I had no problems with regular facebook chat. I had a quick look and although I don't particularly like the way mobile site is laid out, it does seem easy to use and unfortunately I might be forced to use it if facebook regular site becomes almost unusable with screenreaders.
