Hi,

Only thing you can do is contact Motorola. It is evident that the update
seems to be corrupted.

All the best

Steve

Subject: [access-uk] Motorola software update

Hello list.

I have a question that needs addressing if anyone can assist.

here goes.....
I am using the Motorola xoom,( currently running Android 4.03)

now the problem...

I have received an update notification that, is for an update from the
current android version to version 4.04. however on attempting to
complete the update the following occurs.

1, I tap on the notification icon to open the update process.
2 the screen reveals a notification about the new update and obligingly
displays a button to tap in order to start the update process.
3 having tapped the button. the download commences finishing with
another button to tap in order to reboot so that the update can occur..
4 having tapped the button the system reboots.starts the install process
then hangs. dropping into the recovery console. the following is visible
on-screen

top left of screen, options menu) small text) the first option, reboot,
is highlighted.
at centre of screen is an android character on its side, rear hatch open
revealing a red triangle on to which is printed an exclamation mark.

at the bottom left of the screen( small white text) is the install
progress report showing the error condition ( a reference is made to
not being able to real the certificate or something like that).

apologies if this is somewhat long winded or off topic but any help
would be much appreciated. incidentally I have to rely on a magnifier as
the recovery module does not trigger speech output.

many thanks in advance.
