Dave, This is the DigiTV card. You only need a computer with XP to be sure it will run. (I think I read somewhere that tests on lower specs hadn't been done, but I may be wrong about this so look at their site or ask if in doubt.) HTH: Ask more questions if you're interested! Oh, and BTW: You'll need to update software now and again so it helps if you know this. I found the CD they sent was not up to date but I was quickly directed to the update and got it OK, though first and second time there was a problem in trying but this may have been a friend playing around who knew less than I did. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Quarmby Sent: Monday, February 14, 2005 6:14 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: NEBULA ELECTRONICS USB DIGITAL CARD Carol, do you need a TV card in addition to this card or is it all in one? ----- Original Message ----- From: HYPERLINK "mailto:carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx"Carol Pearson To: HYPERLINK "mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx"access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, February 14, 2005 1:22 PM Subject: [access-uk] NEBULA ELECTRONICS USB DIGITAL CARD Hi all, This will probably be my final update on this. First, I am pleased to tell you that I've now sorted all (except one of) my little problems with this card, reception, timer etc., and it's now working really well and we're very pleased with our digital service and audio description. Someone asked the cost of this card and I was unable to find the figure at that stage. I can now confirm that we paid a total of £124.86 (inc P&P) for the USB version of this card. We could have purchased the PCI for around the same price. Ray, if you're still looking for good ways of recording programmes from the radio, I don't think you can beat recording from this digital method. I find it excellent and just so easy and convenient to record from the radio or TV in this way. Oh, our one remaining problem is that we haven't yet discovered how to produce the audio description on a timed recording but are experimenting with various settings to find this. Steve, if you know which file format to use, please let me know. There is a check box for both audio description and sub-titles and it may just be that we need to check both of these to get that result, but I haven't yet worked through that option. I hope this additional information is of use. -- Carol HYPERLINK "mailto:carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx"carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
