OK, any of the netbooks from Samsung or Asus are good as I have had many of those said netbooks, but avoid at all costs HP Compaq models which are loaded with bloated software and are slow to boot. Go to a retail store and have a look at the different keyboard designs to see which would find most comfortable.

Not that bothered about the screen, battery life is important, and a good
keyboard layout.

Could you please tell us what it is your looking for? Netbooks come in many 

shapes and sizes, with different notable features depending on brand and
price point. Are you looking for something with a long battery life? large 
screen? dedicated video card etc?
Please furnish more details, then we can recommend products that would most 
likely be of interest to you.
