Hi Colin, you're right that file names can't be changed on the unit. I've found 
even now though that, though the announcement of folder names is reliable the 
announcement of file names can be hit and miss. I don't know why that is. 
There's just no accounting for some things.

  others have found a work-around, will give it a go.

  I assume renaming cannot be achieved via the machine but using it as an
