Hi Carol,

I had a Maxtor go the same way 3 years ago; if you can have someone look at
the screen from boot-up, they may see a message posted delivering ominous
news. I hope it isn't as bad as this.

Cheers,

Mike

Subject: [access-uk] PROBLEMS WITH MAXTOR HARD DRIVE

Hi all,

Whilst networking our computers today and working with my main C drive, my
Maxtor hard drive suddenly started banging and crashing and it didn't sound
too nice. I still have power to the drive but it's no longer showing on my
computer at all, despite reboots, so I suspect it's a gonner! Is there
anything else I should try, please?

Thanks.
