Thanks to everyone for their thoughts.
It looks very much like in the dim and distant past I have probably got
audio description mixed up with a speech output system when I made a note
of it to myself. My apologies for the curve ball, but I am still rather
disappointed I was wrong! I was rather looking forward to being able to
record the F1 in surround sound.
