I would steer clear if I were you, never accept unsolicited message like that at face value. It may not be anything actually mallicious but it is probably a peice of inneffective rubbish. Any decent software developer that actually produces something that works would not need to go for stealth marketing tactics like that, it would at least have a web page you could look at to assess for yourself whether you might need it.
