Hi Jackie apparently the E65 has to be sent away to be unlocked, we paid £8 for
a 6680 to be unlocked at the same shop not sure where else to have it done if I
don't pay.

Mandy, I don't know anything about unlocking software as I've never done it.
But I know that £30 is rip off stuff to get a phone unlocked. The average is
about £10 unless you go through somewhere like Orange or Vodafone, who do
charge a lot more for the privilege.

I'm having to pay £30 to get an E65 unlocked to any network - this is a
lesson I've learned too late as bought it from EBay and didn't realise that
some phones cost more to unlock and have to be sent away.

Searching in Google I found some software that can be downloaded to unlock
the phone - have signed up to it and have email but done nothing with it as yet
as worried that if it doesn't work it could damage the phone and prevent me
unlocking it any advice please? If the risk is simply that it might not work
but won't do any harm it is probably worth having a go.

    Mandy.
