Hi Justin,

No, a Podcatcher is something like Juice, formerly Ipodder. A Podcast is
only a form of RSS with an enclosure. You subscribe to any Podcast, then
every time a new show comes out, it is automatically downloaded for you,
saving you the trouble of going and finding out when the next show is out.

All the best

Subject: [access-uk] Podcatcher?

Hi everyone,

I've been reading all the posts on Steve Nutts "our place" podcast. It
mentions something on the computer room services website as well as being
mentioned here, called a podcatcher.

Can anyone tell me what this is?

Is it a fancy name for using something like RealPlayer, winamp or Windows
Media Player to download and listen to these podcasts?

I'm clueless as you can tell *smile*.

all the best,

Justin
