[access-uk] RAM Question

Hi List.
If I order a PC with 512 MB Ram, should I expect to see 496 MB RAM listed,
whenever I'm looking at System in the Control Panel?
Am I just being a little paranoid in jumping to the conclusion that I've
been zipped for 16 MB of my precious RAM?
Paranoia having set in, how can I check to see if my Processor is in fact
the Processor I ordered? One of those Pentium 3 Ghz Hyper Threading things!
