Hi George - Regarding Belarc, don't know if you saw my last message
regarding my queeries about Ethernet rj45 ports, but wonder if you can
advise me on what I need to look for in the Belarc adviser report that might
indicate something in respect of this; I take it that Realtek RTL8139 Family
PCI Fast Ethernet NIC
as reported by Belarc meant nothing to you? -

Andy

| Hi Douglas,
|
| Blast Toshiba for that! You can however go to the UK
| Toshiba web site, http://www.toshiba.co.uk and search for
| the product number as I did.
|
| However, if you can get Belarc installed, it will give you
| much valuable configuration information anyway.
|
| George.

|
| Many thanks for the prompt reply, George. I will get my
| wife to examine the rear of the
| machine later to try and establish exactly what is there. I
| was wondering whether this
| "Advanced Port Replicator" was a device which had to be
| attached to the laptop to provide
| these extra ports or was already there. The print copy of
| the manual may clarify this point.
|
| Sorry to say that the Tiny URL simply gave me the message
| "Session Finished! We have
| closed your current session." There was a "revisit the
| site" link but that did not seem to take
| me to the detailed spec you mention.
|
| Having also read your suggestion in another message about
| Belarc Adviser I will give that a
| try too.
