I didn't do any of that, David. I just followed a link from another email to the page on my windows 7 computer with IE11, copied the pertinent paragraphs and pasted into an email. I then checked that the link worked, which it did. Perhaps a link to the page will help: http://mosen.org/index.php/ios-8s-speak-screen-feature-listen-to-ibooks-with -your-screen-locked-and-more/ <http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001QsLxdvI-HA5ju8fce9aK70E34fINagzJG9U3jecdHOTP pbftjvP7_avpYCred-E8a3ijEPp3BCEOEzeQWlSbz18nHZuMj56lze__-QvO5jpZyK6ysKtQjP7k y5TXBqU3vnulCZARfXR91zrBqJLnZcpmbZkV36d7R5UZTR2vPFYk1ey-g_XYlOUpTleimr9RCglT 8anXDsLSjsHhPrSoTdmd8EOU74sw93Jm0ZHVdmYm_KQ3q4xyl8WLgIhcjaAmvPX74_KBu7cU1wem b6srW6Ny-CbTzC8T&c=cr1JeXU-9b2kKEh2UBEW9cD6_0Ivz7RINUAS0h4TTerRm0fLPkn_Vg==& ch=6vzHI-Wtd3-vpxFaZXc14lu9kZBO0yDPFT7gt6opvcpGk0dgFe1_Pw==> Cheers Barry From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of David Griffith Sent: Thursday, February 26, 2015 10:01 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Reading iBooks on the iPhone You need to have sighned up to Audio Boo and have logged in for the sound tobe available. When I clicked on the link I just got brought to sound cloud and invited to download the app. I did this but still nothing. I then tried your link on my windows machine and again I was brought to Sound Cloud and invited to download a supporting device. Maybe you could put the recording on Dropbox or Sendspace and send the link again. ----- Original Message ----- From: Barry Hill <mailto:barry.hill3@xxxxxxx> To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, February 26, 2015 7:39 PM Subject: [access-uk] Reading iBooks on the iPhone Here's a good tip from Jonathan Mosen <http://mosen.org/index.php/author/jmosen/> : A client of mine is a student who uses iBooks a lot. He was getting frustrated with not having a method to listen to iBooks without locking the screen and without notifications interrupting the book. After I showed him how this was possible using the speak screen feature, he suggested I do an audio presentation about this for others who didn't know about this iOS 8 benefit. A lot of VoiceOver users think that Speak Screen has no benefits for them, but it's a great feature. Here <https://soundcloud.com/jmosen/speakscreen> 's my audio demo of the iOS 8 Speak Screen feature.
