Hi

I have had a few set-ups, the best of which has been Arcam, but this Is now a
couple of years old.

I would strongly suggest setting a clare budget, because this really does
impact on what you are looking at.

At the time of purchase the Arcam CD player was £359 and the arcam amp was
£750.

The sort of sound you prefer will depend on what you want to listen to , and a
personal preference. I have always found my local hi-fi stroe very helpful if
you want to go in an try out some combos, they will usualy make helpful
suggestions.

Regards

Matt

Hi Andrew

I've been a while as I've been waiting for a pair of eyes to arrive to read the
labels.

I assume you are talking table top kit here. If so I recommend the Acoustic
Solutions SP122 from Richer Sounds. Address is:

http://www.richersounds.com/productlist.php?cda=productlist&sort=price&search=cd+players&feature=&manufacturer=

The price is £29.99 and a very good unit. This does not include the amp or
speakers but I hooked mine into my surround sound Pioneer set up and the sound
is marvellous.

Roger

Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
