Thanks Amro - Have now run the cleaner on the registry, so hopefully that will
help improve performance -

No tweaking is needed really. I think the installer asks if you want to
install the Google toolbar during installation - tick or un-tick the tick box
and that's about it. Once installation is done, run C Cleaner and click on
registry then scan for issues. A list of issues appears after scanning is
completed. When you choose to fix the founded issues the program asks if you
want to backup the registry before proceeding with the fixing process. I myself
choose not to make a backup but this is something you do on your own risk.

The process is quite intuitive so go ahead and check it out... give us a
shout if you come across something you are not sure about.

  Amro

Thanks Amro - Can I just let it install and run, or do I need to tweak
anything for the install, and do I need to back up anything ahead of the
cleaning run? I think I've heard people talk about backing up the registry, is
that necessary, if so, how is it done?

  Thanks for any help -

  Andy

    Hello all -

Can anybody recommend a registry scanner that will simply produce a list of
corrupt and residual files no longer in use? -
