First method:
Arrow down to the output plug ins. Tab once to winamp wave out plug
in and press alt C for the configure button.
Tab and check the checkboxes for volume control enable and the
one that says volume control alt settings method.
Enter on okay and then enter on close.
Second Method (recommended for XP users)
Tab from the output plug ins and select the Nullsoft direct sound
plugin and tab to the close button.
You should now be able to use your up and down arrow keys in winamp
to change Winamp's volume without effecting the software speech.
In winamp 5, the plug ins's are still in the treeview but for some
reason the PC cursor won't arrow down to them past skins.
A shortcut you can use is while you are in the main winamp window,
press control K for the visualization plug ins.
You will land in the preferences treeview on visualization.
Arrow up and you will find output, then input, and the main
treebranch for plug ins.

Hello

Re following audio tutorials.

I have Winamp set so that its volume can be adjusted independent of the soundcard volume and the vol. of Winamp volume is set to max. However there is often still a big difference between the tutorial volume and the screenreader volume so that I have to keep turning the loudspeaker up and down. Is there any solution to this please?
