Hi, My trusty Trekker that has seen me through over 10 years of use has finally died and I am looking for a replacement. Whatever I go for will need to have an off road mode, for when I am in parks. Obviously it will need the usual things including, information on upcoming intersection in either clock face description or left and right, pedestrian and motorised route creation, creation of POI, a well maintained database of commercial POIs and the ability to virtually explore an area. It would also be good if it were possible to use the device with one hand. I am currently looking at the Breeze and Cendero on a Braille Note type device. The Breeze doesn't have a virtual mode and you can't create routes from addresses or POIs as a start, but it does do everything else. Cendero obviously does the lot, but is considerably more expensive, plus I'm not sure if I'll be able to operate it with one hand whilst walking. I'm going to get demos of both. I'm not looking at an IPhone app because GPS and my walking app use up too much battery together. Also, I don't think there's an app for the IPhone that includes off road navigation. Does anyone have any other suggestions of GPS devices I should consider, or comments on the Breeze or Cendero on either Braille |Note, Voice Note or Braille Sense? The last device doesn't appear to have been updated for a couple of years, as far as GPS is concerned.
