John does have a valid point here.. However, if you run a powerful Anti Virus and malware combination like eset Smart Security Suite and Malware Bites on that machine as well as look at your running processes you can be 99% sure the machine is safe. At least long enough o boot, and more comfortable move your personal data off as a backup then wipe and restore your OS and data back if you so wish.
