I got a similar type response when I wrote regarding my Mac after upgrading to
El Capitan. I said that from finder when I went to the doc voice-over did not
announce doc. insured they told me I probably had a corrupt file! subsequently
I discovered on other lists when I mentioned this issue that other people had
it also. I also have a second machine where I have it. foolishly I believe them
and reset all my voice-over preferences. it didn't make any change. there was a
further update to El Capitan about 10 days ago and this has not rectified my
problem either. as far as I can see no point in writing to them. I have to say
a little disappointed with them.

This is so helpful, in other words, they don't really want to know!
