Hello Roger,

I use both the most recent version of CCleaner and sometimes have a need to roll back to an earlier restore point. I have never had the problem you are describing, so it would not seem to be CCleaner's fault, unless you have it set up in a different way to me. I do have CCleaner set up to overwrite blank space on my hard disk seven times during a run.

HTH,
John.

Subject: [access-uk] Restore Points

Hi All

I have just tried to do a restore to my XP Home marching. It accepted a highlighted date and close my system down as per normal. But then said it could not restore to that date so I needed to pick a new date. I did to the
same result.

The last time I was having problems the same thing happened. I sorted out the problem another way and assumed the inability to restore was something to do with the problem I was having. It appears not so. I heard a while ago restore memory could be erased by CCleaner. I experimented but decided not to have that facility operating all the time so turned it off. I am wondering if CCleaner is removing my restore points every time I run it which is daily. I just can't remember the details of that item now so any
help that can be offered will be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Roger
