Hello Austinhave a 7 port hub of which 5 are at the back and 2 on the front. These 2 are the ones most accessible. I use one for the mouse dongle and the other for anything I need to plug in temporarily, such as a pen drive. I plugged a pen drive into the hub a little awkwardly and for the first time ever bent one of the internal bars of it. tis means that slot of the hub is now not available for use but the other 6 are perfectly all ring. Strangely somehow this caused the cordless mouse to not longer work but a lorded one is just fine.

Hi Rodger. It will depend on the manufacturer of your cordless mouse. Some likeLogitech let you re-pair the mouse with a new dongle or vice versa, however as a general rule, the dongle as supplied with the mouse is the one you must use for that particular mouse. I have an Anker desktop combo, and recently I managed to loose my dongle as the things are so tiny these days. I had no option but to buy a new kit as the dongles are paired at the factory and youcan't get replacements. All the best, Ibrahim. Yesterday being a little heavy handed I bent an internal mechanism of aspare slot with a pen drive. Now my mouse won't work. I've tried it in all 6working slots and 4 accessible ones on the tower all to no avail. I have another unused cordless mouse and that will not work either. I've changedthe Batteries which register as full on a tester and the red light under themouse is on. However I pinched the Guvnor's corded mouse off of her laptop and it works just fine but the lord irritates the hell out of me. As theunused cordless mouse won't work there is no point in buying another so the solution has to be elsewhere. Is it possible I need to download drivers for example or maybe go into Devices Manager to get the system to recognised themouse. Any help will be much appreciated with thanks. Roger
