[access-uk] Scanner Problem

Hi All
I'm having problems setting up my scanner. I've been to the HP site and found
what seems to be what I need but I'm having trouble understanding it. I'm told
if the dialogue box gives me a message saying the scanner is already in use it
could be a missing Stimond.exe command. Then to close the program using
Cntl+Alt+Del to bring up the Close Window dialogue box and look to see if the
missing application is listed. I do as told but get Task Manager popping up on
screen.
Can anyone help me please.
