Hi Alan One option to consider is the Aesop talking keyboard which is self-contained, and would give your friend an opportunity to use it without a computer until he felt completely comfortable. I am not advocating this device because my local Society for the Blind sell it, but was purely thinking of a simple alternative at this stage. It might be that it wouldn't be suitable because it doesn't attach to a keyboard, but rather allows the user to learn to touch type. More info about it can be obtained from Fife Society for the Blind, 01592 583272. Hello List members, I am investigating Keyboard opsions for a elderly friend who is having trouble learning to use a standard Keyboard[ touch typeing], He has just enough vision to read the keys,I thought that maybe a mouse controled screen keyboard may be a possible alternative. I realise that x p includes a mouse controled Screen Keyboard in the accessibility opsions I have googled for more imfo re various models etc,,their seems to be quite a few available.wonder if any one on the list has used a :Mouse controlled Screen Keyboard,,or could pass some more imfo on to me re,other oppsions, perhaps, keyboards with larger Keys ?.Thank you in advance. best wishes.Alan
