Sunil - Where do I look to see if it is at the faster speed?
I reckon that should do it. When I migrated to a 2 meg connection a month ago I just rebooted on the morning of the upgrade date and it just connected at the faster speed.

Paddy - my modem doesn't have a plug, it connects to my PC via USB! So what to do, just disconnect and reconnect?
Hi Andy.
Simply turn it off at the plugs, including shutting down yoru pc.
Wait about a minute, power up the modem, wwait about 30secs then power up yoru PC.
There ya go. Hi all -
Just had a message from my service provider telling me that my connection speed had been increased to 2MB, and that all I needed to do was: "reset your broadband modem/router to activate your new 2mb service."
However, I don't know where to do this, or how to do this, so some help would be much appreciated.
Many thanks -
Andy
