Thanks Mike. No I have the pictures in my computer now. I did this way back.
they are very small old pictures from the 1960s and I need some sighted help to
tell me if they are satisfactory in terms of putting on Facebook and to crop
all the blank areas out for me. I am talking somewhere in the region of 10
photos but only about 3 that need cropping.

Eleanor,
If you can get someone to check one of the pictures, as some scanners which
scan a small picture will automatically enlarge it to A4.
This is because the background is white on the lid of the scanner.
This might be of help.

Hi
Is there anyone who would assist me with photographs that I scanned in to my
computer some time ago. At the time I did not have much knowledge on scanning
so the pictures need cropping or some sort as they were not A4 size which means
that I have a small photograph for example and the remainder is taken up just
looking black. Please contact me off list if you can help rather than
cluttering up the list.
