Hi Kevin -
If I have songs ticked, the songs show up in alphabetical order which is how I
want it, but if I use the f6 key to cycle through the columns, when I land on
artists, and arrow right once to the albums lists for a given artist, then
press f6 to go in to that album, the tracks there are in alphabetical order
too, where I'd prefer to see them in playing order. I know that if I move out
of the column and go back to search library, and tab to and check the albums
view, the tracks then in the albums column revert to numerical order.
I had hoped to be able, when in whatever column, to go to options, and choose
the sort I wanted, just for that column, but it appears the chosen sort order
gets applied across all columns, until the tick in the check box is changed.
Hope I've explained this ok. It's no great issue in the scheme of things, and I
can certainly live with it, I just wondered if I'd missed a trick along the way

The tracks are presented in track number order by default. Are all your
albums sorted in this way?
What view are you using, song, artist or album?
Issuing a left mouse click on the title of the column will effect a sort and
there’s also an apply sort fields option in the applications menu, though I
haven’t played with this as my albums are all presented in track number order.

In iTunes, is it possible to have album tracks show up in numerical playing
order? So far, if I select an album, and look at the tracks, they are in
alphabetical order. When I transfer music on to my iPhone, I am able to see the
tracks in numerical order, but not in iTunes. Can this be changed? -
