[access-uk] Sygate blocking email

Hi all -
Started having the same problem again, where I could only receive incoming
mail, with my SMTP server failing to respond when sending messages. I just
disabled Sygate, and all seems to be ok.
So, what do I need to do with Sygate to get the programme to allow OE to
send messages?
And, am I safe leaving Sygate disabled now that I have a firewall in my
router?
