So is there any better way to find the code you need? -- Carol P ---- Original Message ---- From: "Steve Hyde-Dryden" <csdryden@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, May 11, 2012 6:57 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: TVonics - Linking TV and Remote
Hi John, I've got an LG telly and got the right code within about 12 button presses. It's quite easy to miss though. I did read somewhere that LG are not exactly forthcoming in publishing their codes for remotes, so I don't think I'll get much senseout of them.John. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mailbox,Technews Sent: 11 May 2012 13:28To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: TVonics - Linking TV and Remote There should be no problem in trying another code or searching for another code on the remote. If your TV turns off but the volume control does not work then the code you have found is only a partial match for your TV and you will need to repeat the search for another. I have successfully linked the same remote, first to aSamsung and then an LG television.Regards Richard Clifford Product Sales and Marketing Coordinator Products and Publications Tel: 01733 37 52 79 mailto:richard.clifford@xxxxxxxxxxx Browse our Online Shop at www.rnib.org.uk/shop Sign up to our YouTube Channel at http://www.youtube.com/rnibprods -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John Gregory Sent: 11 May 2012 11:50 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: TVonics - Linking TV and Remote Hi Madleen, Following some discussion on this list it appears that the process of linking the TVonics remote to one's TV is limited to one attempt, is this correct? The reason I ask is because the automated process identified one code for my LG 32" LD4 TV, but after pressing 'OK' the TVonics remote would not alter the volume or turn off the TV. If the coding is limited to one attempt, does this mean that I am now prevented from finding the right code and haveto use two remotes? Many thanks.
