The box can take around 30 seconds to come on after pressing standby. The remote pickup sensor on the box is very good so you shouldn't miss the key press. Today, for example, I'd switched our box into standby and was reliably informed of this, then I switched off the TV (as they're not linked at this stage). Well, I hadn't switched off the TV, according to a sighted friend, so of course, once I put on the box, would have switched the TV on, probably before realising it was about to come on. I really do wish the box had announcements when on, as well as off, and also that announcement included if a TV was plugged in. What do others think of this, or is it me just getting in a tangle with something which should be so simple! BTW: Have no problem recording etc. Just these stupid bits with no speech feedback! -- Carol P ---- Original Message ---- From: David Russell To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Tuesday, May 15, 2012 4:17 PM Subject: [access-uk] T-Vonics talking freeview box > Hi all > > I am not sure whether this might be considered a small > bug, but I will point it out anyway. > > This morning I entered a programme for recording at 9 PM > tonight and the box told me that another recording was > already entered for this time.
