I make you right. The talking clock and timer and ability to programme it
depending on what you want to defrost or cook sure beats paying fifty quid
for a microwave from Comet and plonking in frozen bread or whatever at full
power and opening the door every thirty seconds to see whats going on
because you're unable to programme it.

I must comment that, were I unable to see at all, I would personally value a
talking microwave.
Hope I will not be flamed unduly for saying this, but if you are getting
DLA, particularly middle rate, is the extra cost of a talking microwave that
unbearable?

| than a touch pad. You generally find on these you can tell what time you
| have chosen and what power level. You can if you need to get one of the
| array of cheap talking clocks available and then basically job done just
