Indeed Chris I agree. I once had a HP laptop and turning on and off the wirless was a touch screen above the keys and all I can say is that I had to learn to stop touching above the keys. You may have turned off wifi in your router settings or the laptop itself. As far as I know, I configure the wifi on my new laotop Acer E Series E5 using normal Windows 8.1 procedures.
