"Probably George will "do his nut" about this!" The problem with the post is that it does not provide any useful information but serves to scare people witless about an unknown threat. If anyone has such a warning please link a good source for this warning preferrably including some useful information. It is true that any web 2.0 site where users can provide content there is a risk of this happening and essentially there is not very mcuh filter between you and them therefore that medium can serve as a risk vector. Usually this is in the form of a link that you are encouraged to go to by the poster and is what is known as a social engineering attack. However since many people link in Twitter is is only helpful if we know what the nature of the Tweet and the link that one is encouraged to go to. Otherwise the warning is in itself not very helpful. It is perfectly possible to use Twitter and be safe provided one has useful information by which to inform one's decision. Regards.
