Hi all,

Here at work I have a Belkin 7 port USB hub. It comes with a power
supply but at the moment I'm not using it and this does not seem to have
affected connectivity or performance. I guess that this is because the
two things I'm currently running off it, my PACmate and a Cannon scanner
either have their own power supply or slave it from the PC. My question
is, under what circumstances would I be likely to have to connect the
power supply to the hub?

Cheers now.

Ian
