I thought I should update my message on Baen.com.
I actually purchased a book called 1633 by Eric Flint which cost £5.89.
. When I downloaded the book I thought there had been a mistake as the book
I was reading was 1632, in other word the book before the book I wanted to read.
To check it was not my mistake I went back to my library. When I got there I
found that, to my surprise, the book called 1633 was indeed there but as well,
they had also given me the prequel 1632 for free which I had mistakenly
downloaded. In fact when I checked my library they had given me 12 other eBooks
for free. What is more these were not obscure books by little known authors -
all of these books were high selling books in the Science Fiction / Fantasy
genre, including authors like John Ringo, David Webber and so on.
I am not sure whether I got these books simply by registering or whether they
were provided after I made my first purchase.
It was anice surprise though as I had not picked up that this would be offered.
Anyway I effectively got 12 non copy protected eBooks by top selling authors
for under £6 which I thought was a good deal.
