The headphones are FM. They are definitely switches not dials. Yes I
tried them both not plugged in and plugged in, with no luck. So I am
nearly to the conclusion of perhaps buying the one you want to sell.
however, I'll persist till Monday and get help from my university
support worker, and if we don't get anywhere I will take them back and
ask for a refund. I do hope, however, that I get them to work, but it
looks very unlikely, certainly from my own point of view anyway. Thanks
