Hi Andy

I've had a look on my HP laptop to see if there is anything relating to the built-in webcam, but there doesn't appear to be any specific application to launch anything connected with it. My guess then, and it's only that, is you would need to turn it on from something like Skype or Windows Messenger, where such functionality is possible.

Frankly, I have no interest in using the webcam, and don't want to be seen. I'm not pretty anyway. Sexy perhaps? Pretty, definitely not! (chuckles.)

Have fun with it.

Jackie

Subject: [access-uk] Using an integral web cam

Hi all -

My HP Laptop has one of these built in to the top of the screen.

I'm wondering how it is turned on, and how I might use it. It has it's own
integral mic, so again, what do I need to do to use it? I've located it
under the hardware tab, and it says "this device is working ok" but I don't
know if that means it's on or off, I imagine it comes turned off, and I
haven't done anything to change that, but would like to know how to use it,
and what others would have to do to "see me" <smile> -
