Thanks, that is helpful. Apologies I meant to post (separately) a question 
regarding HDMI cables and connecting my Ipod Touch to my TV. I’ll repost this 
separately. Sorry for the confusion.

Not sure how this relates to HDMI cables, so have changed the subject line.

Press and hold the home key, speak artists name [you can't ask for specific 
tracks unless you have the iPhone4s] then release the button, and voice over 
should say something like "playing songs by..." -

  Hello, 

  Looking on the Apple website it appears that it is possible to use your voice 
to control the Ipod Touch by, for example saying play (then saying the name of 
a specific artist while in music). I’ve tried holding the home button down 
(while in music as suggested on the Apple site) but nothing appears to happen. 
Has anyone else tried speech commands using Ipod Touch 4th Generation and, if 
so do you need to do in anything in Settings prior to being able to use voice 
commands.
