Even if an windows live is removed you will not be able to use msn 7.5 or any older version any more as Microsoft is forcing customers to upgrade. If you try to use an older version you will simply be told to upgrade. The only other alternative is to use windows messenger that comes built in to windows XP, assuming that that's the version of OS you're using.

Hi Jim,

You can't go back to an older version of MS Messenger by removing Windows
Live Messenger, you'll have to download and install the older version which
you can find at:
www.oldversion.com

HI,

I would like to go back to MSN, if I remove WLM, will MSN return like
windows 6 does when windows 7 is removed? If not, can I still get a copy of
the latest MSN, not WLM?

Thanks in advance.
Jim.
