Andy,

First of all, the scripts provided with JFW 6 work okay for this version of
Windows Messenger. However, the only issue is at the moment contacts are
not automatically announced when they sign in, with Verbosity in default.jcf
set to advanced. I've brought this up on the scripting list, and no-one has
a solution yet as far as they're aware.

As for where to extract the scripts, go to c:\documents and settings\your
username\application data\freedom scientific\jaws\6.0\settings\enu. Note you
have to be set up to show hidden files and folders for the application data
directory to be visible.

HTH.

Cheers,

Mark

Subject: [access-uk] Windows Messenger scripts for jaws 6.0 wanted

Hi all.

I am running Windows XP with JAWS 6.0 and have just upgraded to Windows
Messenger 4.7. I'm looking for any available scripts, though note that on
the jfwlite page the only scripts available are MSN Messenger 5 Renamed
Scripts. Can anyone tell me if these will do?

Also, in the past, I have copied scripts into the jaws/settings/enu folder.
In this version 6.0 I cannot find this folder. Anyone any ideas please?

Best wishes
Andy
