Never had a problem with the online Windows Activation procedure it always
seemed to work well enough provided you had a working modem. This
validation thing is something quite different because you may have already
unlocked your Windows and still be asked to validate. I can see the whole
phoning in thing is going to be fun come the next Windows when you are in a
queue with a few thousand others to unlock their Windows witin the 30 day
period.

Correct! Microsoft are already scrapping the Internet
activation in favour of having people call by telephone.

George.
