[access-uk] anti virus software question

Hi list:

now this is a strange question maybe, but are there still anti virus 
packages which can be updated via non internet means?  Situation, I have a 
laptop, which I only want to use for note taking, is there an anti virus 
package which I can use on this pc, which is ok with jaws, but is updatable 
via cd?  thanks.
