I honestly don't know. I don't even know if RNIB would consider that in
their remit. But as it is now, it seems that Neatebox, good idea as it
sounds, is pretty localised to Scotland. Not only that, although their web
site says they can do things with Android and Apple, they don't even have an
app on the Play Store, only the Apple Ap store. Another failing in my view
of manufacturers who think blind people can only access iPhones.

I quite agree with you, although I do have some residual vision, I can see
why you feel that an app for detecting and/or activating crossings should
be standardised to work across all platforms. In your opinion, would it be
worth suggesting that organisations such as the RNIB and other interested
organisations should liaise with British standards Institute?
