Hi Jim,

Well, the Zen Stone doesn't play daisy formats. It plays audio, wma, mp3 and 
audible formats 3.

I asked a question myself about the victor reader on list; please see that 
other thread for info.

    Jim, I take it that you listen to books in MP3 formats? The Creative Zen 
Stone 1GB then would be a good choice.

    However, for a better advice, tell us what formats you want your new device 
to play. e.g. the Victor Reader Stream is more versatile and feature rich but 
it's considerably more expensive than the Zen Stone.

      hi list, I have a 1 gig sunstone which i have put through the washing 
machine. it is still working but not as well as it was.
      i am in the market for something else perhaps with a bigger capasity. i 
am only interested in playing books not music. any suggestions gratefully
