Hi, The system works by having a phone adaptor which converts the network signal to the signal needed for the house phone. We use it extensively here at home for free calls (I pay another company £9.99 a month and get all calls to UK landlines included anytime - the box just plugs into the existing router. Plusnet to either a full wireless router, with an extra phone port on, or you can buy a standard phone adaptor, or use PC software for free. I am wondering how this works as it seems to indicate that you can use a normal house phone and not I assume, need to be near the pc. Also, is the quality likely to be reasonable. I am thinking this could be an alternitive to 18866 now that their prices have increased again. Perhaps there are cheaper options?
