Hi Joe >thanks derric for the link but couldn't get anywhere with it. Ok here are the details from the BT site. BT Quartet 1100 - cordless phone £24.99 The Quartet 1100 is an analogue cordless phone with one base station and one handset. It automatically connects the line when you lift the handset from the base and automatically selects the clearest of the eight radio channels on which to make your call. If you're walking around and begin to get interference, you can select an alternative channel at any time during a conversation. Simply press the "channel seek" button on the handset to change channels and restore call clarity. You can set a secret digital security code that will prevent anyone else from using any of your handsets. The handset-to-base range is up to 50 meters indoors and up to 250 meters outside in ideal conditions. The Quartet 1100 provides talktime up to 7 hours, or up to 72 hours on standby when fully charged. I hope this is of help. Remember that although it's a BT phone, on sale from BT, the same product should be available from other retailers. so it maybe worth checking if you can get it at a lower price. If you decide to buy from BT and have any problem placing order, suggest you contact BT Age And Disability department.
